Merchant Inventory Types are used to manage inventory classification methods for each merchant. Different merchants may have different inventory classification needs, such as good stock, defective stock, pending inspection, samples, etc. This feature allows the warehouse to set up dedicated inventory types for each merchant to meet individualized inventory management needs.

3. FAQ
Quick Links: FAQ | Important Notes
3.1 FAQ
▪ Are inventory types independent for each merchant?
Yes. Each merchant has their own inventory type settings, and different merchants do not affect each other.
▪ What does the "Sellable" setting affect?
Inventory types set as "Sellable" will have their inventory included in the available-to-ship quantity calculation; types set as "Not Sellable" (such as defective items) will not be counted in the shippable quantity.
▪ What is a "Default Type"?
The default type is the inventory type automatically selected by the system during receiving. Each merchant can only have one default type.
▪ Can I delete a type that has inventory in use?
If an inventory type has inventory currently using it, the system will prevent deletion. Please convert the related inventory to another type first before deleting.
▪ Do inventory types affect inventory reports?
Yes. Inventory reports will display quantities separately by inventory type, allowing you to clearly understand the distribution of each type.
3.2 Important Notes

- Each merchant must have at least one inventory type
- It's recommended to set a default type to simplify receiving operations
