Quick Links: FAQ | Notes

3.1 FAQ

▪ Why don't I see the "Edit" button?

The "Edit" button only appears when you have warehouse management write permissions. If you need edit permissions, contact your system administrator.

▪ Can I delete a warehouse?

The system currently doesn't support deleting warehouses from this page. If you need to delete a warehouse, contact system administrator.

▪ Can storage mode be downgraded?

Yes, but you must manually clear all inventory in that warehouse first. System will request confirmation during downgrade, requiring you to enter confirmation text to proceed.

▪ What is "Allow Inventory Status Mixing"?

When enabled, the same shelf can simultaneously store the same product with different inventory statuses (e.g., good and damaged). When disabled, each shelf can only store single inventory status products.

▪ Will changing storage mode affect existing inventory?

Upgrading mode doesn't affect existing inventory. However, downgrading requires clearing inventory first or it cannot proceed.

▪ Can warehouse names be duplicated?

No, each warehouse name must be unique. If you enter a duplicate name, an error message appears when saving.

▪ How do I choose the right storage mode?

  • Virtual Mode: For small warehouses or when shelf tracking isn't needed
  • Dedicated Shelf Mode: For medium warehouses where products have fixed storage locations
  • Dynamic Shelf Mode: For large warehouses needing flexible shelf configuration

3.2 Notes

⚠️ Important Reminders

  • Warehouse name is required and cannot duplicate other warehouses
  • After upgrading storage mode, downgrading is typically not possible - choose carefully
  • Downgrading storage mode requires clearing all inventory, this operation cannot be undone
  • Edit permissions are set by system administrator - contact administrator if needed

💡 Usage Tips

  • Recommend deciding on storage mode before warehouse starts operating
  • If unsure which mode to choose, start with virtual mode and upgrade later
