3. FAQ
3.1 FAQ
▪ What is "Warehouse Shared"?
Selecting "Warehouse Shared" means this shipping account can be used by all merchants, not just a specific one. It's suitable for general logistics services provided by the warehouse.
▪ Why can't I change the provider after creation?
The provider determines which credential fields need to be filled. Changing it after creation would cause data inconsistency. If you need a different provider, please create a new account.
▪ What's the difference between disabling and deleting?
- Disable: Account is retained but won't appear in the available list when shipping, can be re-enabled later
- Delete: Permanently removes the account, cannot be recovered
▪ What happens if credentials are entered incorrectly?
Incorrect credentials may cause shipping failures, inability to obtain tracking numbers, etc. It's recommended to test before official use.
▪ Can a merchant have multiple accounts for the same provider?
Yes. For example, you can create multiple T-Cat accounts for different senders or different contract terms.
▪ What is FTP information?
FTP is a transfer method used by logistics providers to exchange shipping data. Some providers require FTP address, username, and password to automatically transmit shipping data.
▪ How do I test if the account is configured correctly?
After creating an account, try creating a test order and selecting this shipping account to confirm you can obtain a tracking number normally.
▪ Are there any restrictions on "Accept Credit Card" (COD)?
COD requires provider support and may have amount limits and handling fees. Please confirm the contract details with your provider first.
3.2 Notes
⚠️ Important Reminders
- Credential security: Logistics credentials are sensitive information, please keep them secure
- Provider cannot be changed: Provider cannot be changed after creation, please confirm before saving
- Test first: It's recommended to test before official use to confirm correct settings
- Disable over delete: For temporarily unused accounts, disabling is recommended over deleting
