2. Features

A fulfillment is the warehouse's actual unit of shipping work: once an order is created, the system creates fulfillments to track allocation, picking, packing, and shipping. One order may split into multiple fulfillments (partial shipping), and multiple orders may combine into one fulfillment (merged shipping). Use this list to track every fulfillment's status and find the tasks that need attention.

3. FAQ

Quick Jump: FAQNotices

3.1 FAQ

▪ How do fulfillments relate to orders?

A fulfillment is the execution unit of an order. One order usually maps to one fulfillment, except:

  • Partial shipping: one order may produce multiple fulfillments (e.g. shipping in-stock items first)
  • Merged shipping: multiple orders may combine into one fulfillment (e.g. same receiver)

Why it's designed this way: the order records "what the customer wants" while the fulfillment records "how the warehouse actually ships it". Keeping them separate means splitting for shortages or merging to save freight never touches the original order content.

▪ How do I find fulfillments to prioritize?

Suggested filter combination:

  1. Set "Status" to "Allocated" (stock is ready)
  2. Sort by "Created At" oldest first (first in, first out)
  3. Or filter by "Merchant" to prioritize a specific merchant's orders

▪ What does Total Qty mean?

Total Qty is the total number of product units this fulfillment needs to ship, including items from all related orders. Use it to estimate picking time and workload.

▪ Why does a fulfillment still exist after the order was canceled?

Fulfillments have their own lifecycle. After an order is canceled, its fulfillment is marked "Canceled" but the record is kept for tracking.

▪ How do I handle out-of-stock fulfillments?

  1. After replenishment arrives, use "Check Stock" on the order to re-allocate
  2. Notify the merchant to adjust the order (reduce quantity or cancel)
  3. Or use "Split Fulfillment" on the order to ship the in-stock portion first

▪ What task types are there?

  • Order Fulfillment: shipping for sales orders
  • Material Picking: material issue for production work orders
  • Stock Transfer: cross-warehouse shipping for transfer orders

▪ Can I operate on fulfillments directly from this list?

This list is mainly for lookup and tracking. Click the Task Name to open the detail page for actions such as changing the shipping type; picking and QC are done on their own operation pages.

3.2 Notices

⚠️ Important

  • Fulfillments are created automatically from orders; no manual creation is needed
  • A "Processing" fulfillment has entered picking, so its orders can no longer be edited
  • Handle out-of-stock fulfillments promptly to keep orders from being stuck
