Scenario 1: Notify Everyone Before System Maintenance

Situation: The warehouse system will undergo maintenance next Monday, and the warehouse supervisor needs to notify everyone in advance.

How to do it:

  1. Select "Announcement" as the "Type"
  2. Enter the broadcast content, e.g., "System maintenance next Monday 08:00-10:00. Please complete your work in advance."
  3. Click "Send"

Result: Operators in the same warehouse immediately see the announcement on their screens, and their handheld devices receive a push notification. The message is also kept in "Broadcast History" below for future reference.

Scenario 2: Defective Products Found, Stop Picking Immediately

Situation: A batch of products is found defective during receiving, and the floor must be told to stop picking and shipping right away.

How to do it:

  1. Select "Urgent" as the "Type"
  2. Enter the broadcast content, e.g., "URGENT! Stop shipping SKU-12345. Do not pick!"
  3. Click "Send"

Result: The urgent message appears as a prominent red window in the center of recipients' screens. It does not disappear automatically and must be closed manually, making sure everyone notices it.

Scenario 3: Assign an Urgent Task and Mark the Related Merchants

Situation: A merchant has an urgent batch that needs priority handling. The warehouse supervisor wants to hand out the task and let everyone know which merchant's goods are involved.

How to do it:

  1. Select "Task" as the "Type"
  2. In "Notify Merchants", select the merchants this urgent batch belongs to (multiple allowed)
  3. Enter the task content, e.g., "Please prioritize the urgent picking list in Zone A"
  4. Click "Send"

Result: All operators in the same warehouse receive the task message, and this task in "Broadcast History" lists the names of the personnel responsible for those merchants, so everyone knows who should handle it.

2. Feature Guide

When something on the warehouse floor needs to be known by everyone right away (ad-hoc announcements, urgent tasks, abnormal situations), send a broadcast here. Operators in the same warehouse immediately see the message on their screens, and their handheld devices receive a push notification. All sent messages are kept in "Broadcast History" for future reference.

  • Broadcasts are only sent to operators in the same warehouse, never across warehouses

3. FAQ

Quick Jump: FAQ | Notes

3.1 FAQ

▪ Can broadcasts be sent to personnel in other warehouses?

No. Broadcasts are real-time messages for the warehouse floor and are only sent to operators in the same warehouse, so other warehouses are not disturbed by irrelevant messages. If you need to notify another warehouse, please contact that warehouse's management personnel.

▪ Can a broadcast be recalled after sending?

No. A broadcast appears on recipients' screens the moment it is sent, so recalling it cannot take back what people have already seen. Please verify the content before sending; if you sent something wrong, send a follow-up broadcast with the correction.

▪ What happens after selecting "Notify Merchants"?

The task broadcast is still sent to all operators in the same warehouse. After selecting merchants, this task in "Broadcast History" lists the names of the personnel responsible for those merchants, so everyone knows who should handle the task.

▪ Will personnel away from their computers receive the broadcast?

Yes. Handheld devices of operators in the same warehouse receive a push notification; once back at a computer, they can also check missed messages in "Broadcast History".

▪ Can broadcast history be searched?

Search is not currently supported. "Broadcast History" shows the most recent 50 broadcasts, from newest to oldest.

▪ Why can't I find "Broadcasts" in the side menu?

This feature is only available on certain plans. If it is not shown in the side menu, please contact your administrator to confirm your plan and permissions.

3.2 Notes
