Scenario 1: Create brand data for new partner
Situation: Warehouse receives a batch of branded products from Merchant A that needs to be set up in the system.
How to do it:
- Click "New" button
- Select "Merchant A" from the "Merchant" dropdown
- Enter official brand name in "Brand Name", e.g., "Nike", "Adidas"
- Enter internal notes in "Description" (optional)
- Click "Create"
Result: Once created, this brand can be selected when adding Merchant A's products.
Scenario 2: Create same brand for multiple merchants
Situation: The same brand supplies products to multiple merchants and needs to be created separately for each.
How to do it:
- Create brand for Merchant A (following Scenario 1 steps)
- Return to brand list
- Click "New" again
- Select Merchant B, enter the same brand name
- Click "Create"
Result: Each merchant has their own brand data that can be managed separately.
2. Feature Guide
New Brand allows you to create brand data for merchants within your organization. Once a brand is created, you can select it when adding products for classification, facilitating subsequent receiving, picking, and inventory management operations.

3.1 FAQ
▪ Why do I need to select a merchant?
The Warehouse System can manage multiple merchants' data, so you need to specify which merchant the brand belongs to. The Merchant Portal only manages a single merchant, so the system automatically fills it in.
▪ Can I change the merchant after creating the brand?
No. Merchant assignment cannot be changed after brand creation. If you selected the wrong one, you need to delete it and recreate.
▪ Getting "Brand name already exists" error?
This means a brand with the same name already exists for that merchant. Please use a different name, or use the existing brand directly.
▪ Can't find the merchant I want to select?
Please confirm you have management permissions for that merchant. If you cannot see the target merchant, contact your administrator to verify permission settings.
▪ Are there any restrictions on brand names?
Brand name is required and cannot be duplicated within the same merchant. We recommend using official brand names and avoiding abbreviations.
