Orders Locking Inventory
Table of Contents
1. Features
When you see in the inventory list that a record's Allocated Quantity is high and its available quantity is used up, clicking that figure brings you here, where this page lists, one by one, the orders currently holding this batch — which orders reserved the stock, and how much each holds. This is where you trace "who is keeping the stock stuck."

Quick jump: Inventory info | Allocation list | Cancel order
1.1 Inventory info
The top of the page first identifies which inventory record you are viewing:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| SKU / Name | The product this inventory record belongs to |
| Batch | This record's batch (different batches of the same product are different records) |
| Allocated Quantity | The total currently reserved by all orders from this record; should equal the sum of each order's holding below |
1.2 Allocation list
Each row represents an order currently locking this inventory:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | The lock type of this allocation (e.g. Allocated) |
| Order Number | The order number; click to open the order detail |
| Receiver Name | The order's recipient |
| Status | The order's current status (e.g. Pending Allocation, Allocated, Processing) |
| Allocated Quantity | The quantity this order holds from this inventory |
| Created At | The time this allocation was created |
The list shows only allocations that are still in effect; allocations from orders already shipped or released do not appear. After reviewing, you can judge whether the batch is reserved by orders awaiting normal shipment or there is a stuck order that needs further handling.
1.3 Cancel order
When an order has locked stock and you have confirmed it will not ship (e.g. the customer requested cancellation, or it was a duplicate order), you can cancel that order directly from the action column on its row.
When the cancel button appears: only orders that have not yet entered actual warehouse work can be canceled — order status Pending Allocation, Allocated, or Out of Stock. Once an order has entered Processing (a picker is already handling it) or a later stage, the cancel button does not appear and it must be handled through the proper flow on the order side.
What happens after cancellation: the order status changes to Canceled, and the system releases the stock this order had reserved — the corresponding Allocated Quantity is deducted back, and that portion becomes available again, ready to be allocated to other orders. The system also leaves a cancellation record on the order.
Whether it can be undone: cancellation is a one-way action and is not automatically restored. To process this order again, you must rebuild or restore it through the proper flow on the order side; there is no "reverse cancel" from this page.
2. FAQ
2.1 FAQ
▪ Does the figure here reconcile with the locked quantity in the inventory list?
It does. The Allocated Quantity at the top is the total reserved by all orders from this batch, equal to the sum of each order's holding below; the list counts only allocations still in effect, excluding those already shipped or released.
▪ Why don't some orders have a cancel button?
The cancel button only appears while an order has not yet entered warehouse work (Pending Allocation, Allocated, Out of Stock). Orders already at Processing (a picker is handling it) or a later stage cannot be canceled here, to avoid interrupting picking already underway.
▪ After canceling an order, does the stock come back automatically?
Yes. After cancellation the system releases the quantity the order reserved, Allocated Quantity decreases accordingly, and that portion returns to available and can be reallocated to other orders.
▪ Can I undo a wrong cancellation?
No. Cancellation is a one-way action and is not automatically restored. To process the order again, return to the order side and handle it through the proper flow.
▪ Where do I go to adjust this batch's quantity or convert it to another type?
Return to the inventory list and use quick adjust or quick transform on that record's row; this page only shows allocations and cancels orders.
2.2 Notes
⚠️ Important Reminders
- Canceling an order is a one-way action that cannot be automatically restored; before clicking, confirm the order truly will not ship.
- Cancellation releases the stock this order reserved, and the released quantity immediately returns to available and may be allocated to other orders at once.
💡 Tip: Before canceling, check the Status on the row — if it is already Processing, a picker is handling it, no cancel button is offered, and you should use the order-side flow instead.
